Our Privacy Policy Pledge To You

As our customer, you provide us with important information about yourself. We believe it is our responsibility to safeguard your personal and financial information. While some financial institutions share accounts owner information with other businesses, we are committed to keeping it confidential. We have developed the following Privacy Policy to ensure you the confidentiality you deserve. You have our promise that we will adhere to these guidelines. It is our pledge to you.

We, our, and us, when used in this notice, mean State Bank of Georgia. This is our Privacy Notice for our customers. When we use the words “you” and “your” we mean the following types of customers:

  • Deposit Accounts, Loan Accounts, Credit Card Accounts, Retail installment contracts we hold and service and
  • Self-directed Individual Retirement Account

Your relationship is important to us and we are committed to providing you with the best service possible. In the process of serving you, we obtain certain nonpublic personal information, information about you that is not available publicly. This information comes to us from a variety of sources:

  • Transactions with us, our affiliates or with others. Examples of this type of information include your payment histories, account balances and other transaction records.
  • Credit Reporting Agencies. Examples of this type of information include information relating to your credit worthiness, your credit score and credit usage.
  • Third Parties. Examples of this type of information include information you have given us

We have incorporated policies and procedures designed to keep any information you provide us safe. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that are in compliance with federal regualtions to prevent unauthorized access to your perosnal information. 

Restrictions on Disclosing Your Information to Outsiders

We do not reveal specific information about your accounts, or other information that will personally identify you, to those outside State Bank of Georgia for their independent use, unless:

  • As permitted or required by law
  • With companies that perform marketing services on our behalf
  • The information is necessary to affect, administer or enforce a transaction you requested
  • You request or authorize that the information be revealed
  • We have informed you that this information may be disclosed and have given you an opportunity to decline
  • For identification purposes to protect your accounts and guard against unauthorized access

We Will Maintain Your Privacy In Business Relationships With Third Parties

If we do provide customer information to a third party, we will insist that the third party adhere to privacy principles similar to those which State Bank of Georgia adheres for keeping this information confidential.

We restrict access to information about you to those employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect this information.

We do not disclose information about current/former customers, except as permitted by law.
